2008 is the 35th season on the gridiron

     

Apocalypse wins State Championship Tournament

Apocalypse, of Pompano Beach, went through the A Division bracket undefeated and upset top-ranked Value Pawn/Shut Em Down, of Tampa, 35-18, in the championship game to win the 2008 Sunshine State Games Adult Flag Football State Championship at Loyce E. Harpe Park.

Apocalypse finished the season with eight consecutive wins and a 14-3 record.  It was reversal of the 2007 Championship Game when Shut Em Down upset top-ranked Apocalypse for the title.
 
Miami's Most Wanted also went undefeated in the B Division and defeated the Palm Beach Knights 41-20 in the championship game to win the gold medal. Miami's Most Wanted defeated the FGCU Homewreckers, of Fort Myers, 33-27 and Largo's Hard Knox 32-14 on Saturday and beat Hope Chiropractic, of Palm Beach Gardens, 20-13, Sunday morning, to advance to the championship game.
